This Revolutioary War powder tester was dug in the Franco Americanm Siege Lines during modern construciton in the 1990's. Found with other pieces, nails, tacks, powder testers indicating a military test and camp. Black powder is very suscecptible and soldiers of the 18th c. were constrantly checkoing the quality and if it had absorbed too much mosture. Measures 5 in. tall and 1.5 in. in diameter. Very rare artifact and even more rare to be found from a souther battle. ex. John Emond collection.
