Revolutionary War Fascine Knife ex. Oswald
This is a hand forged fascine knife used to clear and cut brush for entrenchments during the Rev War. Originally purchased by Dr. Lord from Mr. Bob Oswald, the item retains its original Mr. Oswald price tag which reads, "Revolutionary War Fascine Knife -- A Similar One Was Excavated at Fort Stanwix, New York". Similar fascine knives are photo referenced in Neumann & Kravic's, "Collector's Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution", page 178. This fascine knife is from the collection of the late Dr. Francis A. Lord.
