Revolutionary War era Soldier or Civilian Stockings
These stockings are hand sewn and exhibit period wear and repairs. Period clothing is especially hard to find and stockigns even more so. These were likely dyed red or dark tan but have faded over the years. A very rare item valued by every soldier. Anyone of Washington's troops at Valley Forge would have loved to have had these. Found in an old trunk with several pair of period stockigns, shirts and period pieces. Approximately 22 in. in length.
