Revolutionary War Era Penn. Redware Charger
12″ overall, 2.25″ deep. c. 1780, an excellent example of a Colonial Pennsylvania charger decorated with a notched rim. The charger is finished with a deep red-brown slip with the underneath being a dark brown. This is a very rare size and to find these un-repaired is a very rare. Completely intact with just some small normal chips at the top edge due to use. From an old Pennsylvania collection and Ex. Robert Oswald Collection.
