This could have been done by an American soldier to re-use a British bayonet. A British soldier would have been issued a new byonet. It is also possible this bayonet was American made from the outset. This bayonet is marked with a rack number /134. 15.5 in. overal length, 4 in. socket and 11.5 in blade.
