Revolutionary War American Soldier Identified Canteen

An American wooden stave style coopered canteen, secured with interlocking wooden hoops, "Joseph Isham" (Jr., of Colchester, Ct., 1735-1810, conductor of a militia supply train in 1778, with rank of Captain) carved on one side; "G. Luets" (untraced), "X" and an "8" carved on the other side; 7 1/4 in. Diam. Folder of information outlining the service of Isham in the Revolutionary War.
