Revolution War 18th c. Belt Knife

Revolution War 18th c. Belt Knife

Revolutionary War era, or earlier, belt or trade knife.  Possibe French in origin.  Blade appears to have been fashioned from a larger blade of a previous knife.  Possible scalping knife. Fantastic patina on both blade and wooden handle.  Fits the hand well with an unususal handle that will keep the blade in your hand.  Measures 11-1/2".  From an old Ohio collection.
