Near idenctical example in George Neuman's Early American Antique and Country Furnishings p. 281. Measures 9 n to top of acconrs and 4.5 in to the end of the handle. Base is 4.75 in. Owners name M. Thomas carved on handle. Just imagine the heated debate over the French and Indian War and the Revolution this would have heard. From an old NY collection.
