War of 1812 SNY Marked Large "Cheesebox" canteen

This piece is an excellent cheesebox canteen painted light blue over black or brown paint with SNY painted/lightly carved for State of New York.  This is the rare, larger size of cheesebox measuring 7 in by 4.24 in.  Most are about have the depth.  Unsuual to see a cheesebox marked SNY, this is more common on teh staved canteens.  In scellent shape with original leather strap holders.  A canteen worthy of any canteen collection.  See video for more details
